persecuted church sunday
We are one of thousands of churches that participate in DIP every year https://www.portasabertas.org.br/ - The Persecuted Church Sunday (DIP) is a national prayer movement in favor of persecuted Christians conceived by Brother André, founder of Open Doors. It is estimated that more than 340 million Christians face some form of persecution. They need you and your church. The date varies from year to year, as it takes place on the Sunday after Pentecost. This is because Acts 4 marks the beginning of the persecution of Christians shortly after the descent of the Holy Spirit, with the arrest of Peter and John. Symbolically, then, this is said to have been the “beginning” of the Persecuted Church.
